About Well Away Tours

Well Away Tours is a travel agency which allows its clients to enjoy the best possible trips in South Africa. We mainly focus on the Garden Route/Klein Karoo to ADDO Elephant National Park - Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) Tour and the Cape Town/Cape Peninsula/Cape Winelands tour.

 

The holidays are based on what the clients want to experience.

 

Amanda Lützeler, the head of the agency and registered tour guide, is a born South African and passionate about her country.  Jürgen Lützeler, her husband, is fluent in German and English and  the certified PDP driver on the tours.  Between them, they can make the whole tour a lot of fun and educational.  They will show you things that you normally won't experience with bigger companies.

Amanda is a creative woman who is very passionate and welcoming. She loves to meet new people and to help them. The reason she discovered her passion was during a holiday where her family from France, Switzerland and Germany were visiting South Africa on separate occasions. At the end of their holidays, all the guests asked her to do the same for their friends, who also wanted to visit this beautiful country.

After a few holidays planned, she was so excited to begin a new journey as a registered tour guide, together with her husband, Jürgen, who speaks German, loves nature and doing road trips, showing people the extra things that other tours normally miss. 

 

Between the two, they will make any tour a special one, no matter the language or from which country tourists reside from.  They will go out of their way to make the tour a special experience for everyone.  Showing off South African hospitality.

We understand that every client has different needs for their holiday, which is why we adapt to the customers wishes.

There are two fixed packages available and two ways to book your tour.  (refer to the tours section).  You can also suggest what you would like to see and experience while visiting, and we will help you customise a tour.

Two options of how to book with Well Away Tours:

​​1.  Self-Drive option:

Well Away Tours will plan and book your holiday tour for you. We will book hotels, restaurants and activities.. You will receive a complete itinerary and detailed road map.  We offer you the luxury of having a local contact during your tour willing to assist you throughout. This includes having a base during your stay in South Africa.

2.  Guided tour option:

Well Away Tours will plan and book your complete holiday.  We will accompany, guide, show, educate and let you experience so much more during the trip.  This is a safe way to experience South Africa.  No need for car rentals and getting stuck in unfamiliar places.
